For the Galaxy A22, the Galaxy A22 5G and the Galaxy M32, Samsung will only provide new updates every quarter in the future. Monthly updates were previously planned. Meanwhile, an important software update is available for the Samsung Galaxy S21, which addresses the potential overheating of the smartphone in certain situations.

Huawei is also happily continuing to Patch

Meanwhile, Huawei is preparing its own smartphone restart with devices based on harmony. It will take a few weeks or even months until the first mobile phone models with the new operating system come onto the market in this country. It is all the more important to keep the existing customers happy with updates to the somewhat older Huawei phones.

And in this context, the Chinese manufacturer has supplied many more smartphones with the May patch for Android. For example the P40, the P40 Pro, the P40 Lite 5G, the P 30 Lite New Edition, the P20 Lite, the P smart + 2019, the Nova 5T or the Mate 30 Pro and Mate Xs models. The latest update also provides a better user experience when using face recognition to unlock the phone. OnePlus also promises an improved charging speed.

OnePlus has given the OnePlus Nord an update to OxygenOS 11.1.4.4 – including the June patch for Android. In addition, not only a generally longer battery life is promised, but also lower battery consumption in certain user scenarios. However, the software developers have also eliminated a bug that could result in notifications only appearing on the smartphone display with a certain delay. General Advice: Patience, Please!

We would like to conclude our current overview of the latest smartphone updates with two pointers. First: If you are not yet able to install one of the above updates on your smartphone, be patient. The software patches are not available all over the world at the same time. So it can take a few days before you can install the latest firmware.

And secondly: As soon as a smartphone update is available for your device, you will receive a corresponding message on the display of your mobile phone. However, you may be able to install the latest available update before this notice. To do this, simply search for an update manually in the settings of your mobile phone. Sometimes new updates can be installed a little faster this way.
